...saying that labor costs can be held down by not having it cooked slowly over a wood fire by a sullen man with a squint was like saying that a symphony orchestra would be cheaper without the violins.

bsinger's Review of Drexlers Bar-B-Que

Weighted Overall
7.15
  • Potato Salad: Tasted average to me, nothing special to talk about.
  • Beef Rib: Got a big piece of fat stuck between my teeth. No love for these ribs.
  • Sauce: The sauce has good consistency and little bit of a bite at the end.
  • Sausage: I thought the homemade sausage was great. Falls apart, but who cares when it tastes that good. It's all going to the same place anyway.
  • Brisket: Fatty and Good.
  • Atmosphere: When you walk into this place you know why it is called Drexlers. Clyde shamelessly plugs himself in every nook and cranny. Nice, comfortable place to hang out, watch some basketball, and eat homemade sausage. Typical BBQ atmosphere, but not bad for my first stop on the tour.
