crosen's Review of Grand Prize BBQ
Weighted Overall
- Spare Rib: Very tender, meaty, tasty, not much rub, but it didn't need much.
- Sauce: Peppery, spicy, sweet, smoky sauce. Too many things going on to blend well.
- Quotable: 'Mesquite smoked ribs were one of a kind!!! Pass on the rest though.'
- Coleslaw: Bland but okay. Carrot mixed w/cabbage.
- Potato Salad: Standard Potato Mayo w/celery and dill.
- Sausage: Nice, smoky flavor. Meaty with a good casing.
- Brisket: Firm, Bland, a little dry
- Atmosphere: Nice, big stack of wood. Place is small and quaint.
Clean, wood tables. Old town feel. Guitar mounted on wall. - Beans: Pinto beans are very average. Out of can taste.
