Who was the first guy that look at a cow and said," I think that I'll drink whatever comes out of those things when I squeeze them?
dbarrow2's Review of Brians BBQ
Weighted Overall
- Atmosphere: Located off of Main Street in the thriving metropolis of Clute, TX. The mosquito festival is held here annually.
The giant bull buffalo head underneath the old Texas and American flags is duly noted. - Overall: The only thing lacking on all of the meat is spice.
I have eaten at Brian's many times when I used to wine and dine the guys from Dow. Nothing but the best for my customers. - Spare Rib: The ribs have a nice gentle rub with not too much of anything.
- Sausage: Sausage has a nice juicy touch to eat with just a hint of pepper.
- Sauce: Sauce is nice sweet and thick with cracked black pepper and a hint of vinegar the way I like it.
- Quotable: Texas ain't no place for amateurs!
Don’t try to teach a pig to sing. It wasted your time and annoys the pig.
If mama ain’t happy ain’t nobody happy. - Potato Salad: The first mashed potato salad on this year’s tour. I like it much better then the standard chunks of potato. It had a good flavor of relish with a nice blend of mustard.
- Pork: Sliced pork is very tender with the melt in your mouth feeeling giving you that ooooh so good sensation.
- Brisket: The lean brisket is pretty darn good. It has a very consistent texture with just the right amount of smoky flavor.
- Coleslaw: Coleslaw was decent very nicely chopped.
