dbarrow's Review of Brians BBQ
Weighted Overall
- Beans: Needs more spice, but they are the perfect level of tenderness.
- Potato Salad: Standard stuff.
- Coleslaw: Very heavy on the mayo but not too bad.
- Sauce: Sweet, vinegar based with some spice - not bad.
- Atmosphere: Lots of farm implements and dead animals. Longhorns with Miller Lite sign and lots of wood. Picnic tables with country and western tablecloths. The old Silver Dollar Saloon game just like at Spaghetti Warehouse bring back memories.
- Brisket: Very good. Firm style but very tender with a nice 1/8' smoke ring.
- Spare Rib: Great flavor, but not enough rub. Fall off the bone texture - very nice.
- Sausage: Tough casing and very greasy, but pretty good flavor except it could use some kick.
- Pork: Very tender but not enough smoke flavor or seasoning.
