Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk.  That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.

  • Sausage: Medium packed mix. Its flavorful, if somewhat greasy. The casing is a bit tough.
  • Beans: Standard pintos. Not too much going on here.
  • Potato Salad: Creamy... with lots of mayo. Good.
  • Sides: Cream corn is made with fresh corn that snaps. I also like the black pepper spice. Very nice!
  • Spare Rib: The meat pulls off the bone with a tug. They are using a very minimal rub (or no rub at all). Meat flavor has a 'funk' to it.
  • Brisket: Fatty slice is chunky, but chewy. Probably could have used a little more lovin' in the oven.
  • Brisket: Lean is smokey, with a good meat flavor. Nice balance.
  • Sauce: KC Masterpiece with extra liquid smoke.
  • Atmosphere: This is definitely nice, sit-down style restaurant... not a joint. They have table service & a full menu of varied food choices, including some BBQ.
