Always do sober what you said you'd do drunk.  That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.

  • Quotable: 'My Daddy don't let nobody see the pits.' -- The staff at Bob's
  • Plus: Old fashioned cheese! Good, good, good!
  • Sauce: Tomato and vinegar - Tangy.
  • Loin Back Rib: Baby back - Ahhhh... good rib. More smoke than Harvey's, but no spice... too bad!
  • Minus: They lost a few points when they warmed the meat in a microwave for serving.
  • Brisket: 'Stand-up style'; firm, but still moist. A little chewy, but still good. Nice spice to the rub, too bad they trimmed it all off!
  • Sausage: Eckrich again.
  • Sides: Baked beans and pintos were fairly standard. PS was creamy, mushy... but very tasty!
  • Hot Link: Tough casing; nice spice, but not too hot. I like it, but the texture is just not there.
  • Atmosphere: It's a meat market with a focus on BBQ, that's a plus. Outside dining; no tables inside. The crew doesn't seem impressed, but I respect Bob and his East Texas style.
