Every joint, from the best to the worst, seems to have people who think the food served there is the very best. Even bad barbecue is somebody's favorite.

Weighted Overall
- Spare Rib: Full spare, with loads of pecan-smoke flavor. Sweet rub with plenty of black pepper on the finish. Smoke flavor is too strong… tasting some creosote here. Very good rib, except for the smoke 'tang'.
- Dessert: Pecan pie: OUTSTANDING!
- Beans: Standard pintos
- Potato Salad: Mustard based. Good dill pickle flavor.
- Coleslaw: Crispy chunk leaf; good.
- Hot Link: Good link with a delayed-action spice that stays and stays.
- Sausage: Mmm; Pecan smoke is GOOD on the sausage!
- Brisket: Chunks of brisket; Moist & Tender. Good meat/smoke balance, but all of the bark has been trimmed off… darn.
- Atmosphere: The Duke; sawdust & picnic tables; good pits; friendly service
