ssweeney's Review of Petes Bar-B-Que and Bait Stand
Weighted Overall
- Brisket: Huge smoke ring. Charcoal flavor is immediately revealed... you can taste the drippings that vaporize on hot charcoal. Tastes like a char-broiled burger.
- Sausage: Loosely packed pork/beef mix made 'across the street'. Nice spice, good sausage.
- Loin Back Rib: True baby back rib. Small, flat rib. A little greasy... but tender, juicy, & fall-off-the-bone. Nice job of grilling.
- Potato Salad: Includes big chunks of green pepper. Good.
- Beans: Overcooked mush.
- Sauce: Different. Translucent, tangy brown substance. Good.
- Atmosphere: Interesting mix: BBQ and Bait Stand. For Sale sign out front indicates that management may have short-timer attitude. Pit boss grills his meats directly over charcoal heat...
