There's not much point in complaining about high-tech barbecue. It serves a purpose, and it's here to stay. And no doubt the quality of it will keep on improving. But as the old barbecue joints slowly disappear, each one that remains becomes a bigger treasure.

Weighted Overall
5.2

Main Fare:

  • Brisket - tasted like pot roast
  • Sausage - tasted like a grilled hot dog
  • Ribs - little tough, not rendered, no flavor
  • Hot Link - Medium Coarse link, great heat

Other Fare:

  • BBQ Sauce - Nice dark, smoky sauce
  • Beans - nice flavor
  • Slaw - no flavor
  • Potato Salad - dill based yellow mustard salad

Atmosphere:

  • Place was a Drive-In with a Bar inside serving BBQ.  Old lush at the bar was coughing up a lung and talkin' everyone's ears off.  I asked if she could serve me an orange whip.  She told me she has a black whip she could show me.  Love the hospitality of this crazy place.
